SUMMARY:

The objective of this work is to analyze the occurrences of robbery and theft of vehicles using spatial analysis to understand how the dynamics of this violence takes place in the space of the city of Natal, capital of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, recorded in the years of 2012 to 2021. This analysis will be done by distributing the occurrences of CVP Crime Violent to Property, from the DEPROV - Police Station Specialized in the Defense of Vehicle and Cargo Ownership, compiled by COINE - Coordination of Statistical Information and Criminal Analysis, and parameterized by the OBVIO - Violence Observatory of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. It is intended to prepare maps of occurrences for the administrative zones of Natal and their respective neighbourhoods to understand the evolution of these cases over the period studied, using spatial analysis techniques. As a result, the synthetic distribution of space is searched through cluster maps, obtaining a glimpse of this subtype of the CVP indicator, which contributes to the feeling of insecurity in the Potiguar capital and its Metropolitan region.
