This research aims to investigate the oppressive relationships experienced by transgender and transvestite people affiliated to the Municipal Center for LGBT Citizenship (CEMCID) in Natal-RN. Using conversation as a research methodology (Ribeiro; Souza and Sampaio, 2018), the study asks: what are the possible contributions of the Theater of the Opressed in the (trans)mutable processes of a transgender body? Considering that the research subjects are in the process of reading and writing development, within the Literacy and Education Network for Youth, Adults, and the Elderly (REAJAI/UFRN), we propose, for the research, practices with Theater of the Oppressed and writing processes.
