Exploring Recent Applications on Quantum Machine Learning and Variational Algorithms

Quantum computation finds itself in the so-called NISQ-era, an intermediary state between the emergence of the first
quantum computers and the existence of fault-tolerant quantum computers. In this current stage, variational quantum
algorithms gained prominence for using classic computation along with the quantum one to overcome the current technological
limitations. Another type of quantum algorithm that has been gaining prominence is the quantum machine learning algorithm.
Due to the special characteristics of quantum systems, it is believed that this type of machine learning would have advantages
over its classical versions. Therefore, the objective of this project is to look for quantum algorithms in these two fields and
apply them to relevant problems.
