A CONTRIBUTION TO THE CRITICISM OF THE PUBLIC FUND: AN ANALYSIS BASED ON THE THEORETICAL PRODUCTION OF BRAZILIAN SOCIAL WORK
Public Fund. Social Work. Value
This doctoral thesis aimed to analyze the category of public funds based on the theoretical and reflective production of Brazilian Social Work. In this sense, we sought to understand the origin and use of public funds as a theoretical category, map how Social Work has used this category, and delve deeper into the main theoretical analyses on these themes referenced in this field of knowledge. The thesis was constructed based on bibliographic research—supported by the "state of the art" methodology—and the critical-dialectical method. As a central result, inaccuracies and contradictions were identified in the approach to public funds within the field of knowledge of Brazilian Social Work, which express a methodological difficulty regarding the dialectical interaction between state, society, and the market, as well as the dialectics of the workforce itself.
