SUMMARY:

Contemporary inclusive education demands guaranteeing the right to learning for students with Intellectual Disabilities (ID). The general objective is to analyze the construction and pedagogical potential of multimodal didactic sequences (DS) for students with ID from the perspective of pedagogical planning for elementary education. The research adopts a qualitative approach, reflecting on teaching practice based on the development of Didactic Sequences. The strategies and procedures for data collection involved the methodological criterion of multi-format books and/or accessible books for children in the early years of elementary school. The data were analyzed using Meaning Frameworks as an analytical tool. The development of multimodal didactic sequences provides reflections on accessibility in the planning of pedagogical practices and has the potential to promote autonomy, protagonism, and the democratization of knowledge for students with intellectual disabilities. The results indicate that planning multimodal resources expands the possibilities for organizing pedagogical work from an inclusive perspective. This study highlights the importance of developing teaching sequences that consider the individual characteristics of students, reinforcing the importance of inclusive strategies in the school context.
