IN THE DIRECTION OF THE WINDS: LAGOA NOVA/RN, THE CAPITAL OF THE SERRA DE SANTANA AND THE CORPORATE USE OF THE TERRITORY
Renewable Energies, Lagoa Nova/RN, Seridó, Wind Farms. Corporate use of territory
For a long time, the Brazilian electrical matrix was characterized by the use of energy generated by hydroelectric plants. However, this scenario has changed with the use of new, more sustainable sources of electrical production, such as wind energy. The advent of this in Brazil was marked by large state and private investments that made the country a great producer, with particular emphasis on some cities in the Seridó Potiguar, such as the municipality of Lagoa Nova, the “capital” of Serra de Santana. In this sense, we will analyze how this municipality stood out in the context of wind production, as well as the corporate dynamics that permeate the processes linked to the implementation and development of this production that consequently promote the corporate use of the territory.
