DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTELLIGENT CONTROLLER APPLIED TO THE WATER INJECTION PROCESS IN OFFSHORE PETROLEUM RESERVOIRS
Petroleum, Water Injection, Fuzzy, PID Control.
In the present work, a bibliographic review was carried out on the topics that involve both petroleum engineering and automation. The process of water injection as a method of recovery in oil reservoirs was the focus about petroleum engineering and intelligent control based on fuzzy logic when it comes to automation. According to the key themes discussed, it was possible to explain how the water injection process takes place in the Petrobras P-62 oil production platform and how its current regulatory control is performed, raising some problematic situations. According to this, this work propose a fuzzy controller that will have as output a dynamic gain for the PID control set point of a valve, which regulates the water flow to be offered to the distribution header, that distributes water for all injector wells. The planning is build up the system with the software already homologated by Petrobras, called MPA (Automated Procedures Modules), and simulate several scenarios in order to observe the efficiency of the controller.
