SUSTAINABILITY AND BIODIVERSITY: A TEACHING PROPOSAL BASED ON THE THREE PEDAGOGICAL MOMENTS
SUSTAINABILITY, BIODIVERSITY, CITIZENSHIP
The research entitled "Sustainability and Biodiversity in Biology Teaching: a didactic proposal based on the three pedagogical moments" aims to evaluate the contribution of a didactic sequence based on the 3 pedagogical moments in the learning about biodiversity of high school adolescents from a state school in Natal, RN. This research presents a quanti-qualitative approach. Souza (2017) states that the use of this approach makes it possible to broaden the facets of the phenomenon investigated, taking into account the needs of the research. We will use the three pedagogical moments as a didactic proposal to build the didactic sequence. The research was comprised of 3 stages, as follows: 1st) Previous procedures for the elaboration of DS; 2nd) Elaboration of the SD and 3rd) Application of the SD. As preliminary results, we obtained the evaluation of a questionnaire for the recognition of students' prior knowledge on the topic of sustainability and biodiversity. We could see that 50% of students associate the term “Biodiversity” with Diversity/Variety. Students also reported that they practice some actions that can be considered beneficial and others that can be harmful to Biodiversity. From this analysis, we are proposing a didactic sequence that contributes to the understanding of these contents in order to promote the formation of citizens who are more aware and active in society.
