RESUMO:

A combined cycle natural gas power plant is taken as a case study. Two types of CO2 mitigation are analyzed for this case, the carbon capture and storage system (CCS) and concentrator collector (CSP) type parabolic trough collector (PTC) with two thermal fluid storage tanks (Therminol VP-1). The method of analysis chosen was the exergoeconomic and exergoenvironmental analysis. The chosen method of environmental impact was the Eco-Indicator 99 (EI-99). A detailed analysis of cost and environmental impact for the components, inputs and infrastructure was carried out. The results indicate that the gas heater needs to have its destroyed exergy reduced to improve the efficiency of the system as a whole. The second case - with CCS system - had its electric power reduced, while the third case - with solar collector - increased. The environmental impact of electricity increased with the 2nd case and with the 3rd case had a slight increase. The environmental charge of the thermal fluid was taken into account. Therefore, the third case was the system with better environmental performance and discussions for future studies and improvements were carried out.
