  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Mental disorders affect 450 million people globally, 20-25% of the adult population, and their incidence is likely to have increased during the pandemic, due to a variety of factors. ADHD manifests itself through difficulties at school and relationships with peers, parents and teachers. In adolescence, the disorder can be characterized by difficulties in dealing with rules and limits. Already in adult life, problems arise with inattention, lack of memory and impulsivity, as well as drug abuse, alcohol, anxiety and depression. It is also very common for the predominance of symptoms to change during life, a very hyperactive child can become a very inattentive adult. In Brazil, it is estimated that around 40% of students in the initial grades, as well as in other developing countries, have learning difficulties. This research seeks to delineate, through the recommendations of the scientific literature, the set of procedures and additional assessments incorporated into a software capable of allowing, identifying and characterizing symptomatic manifestations related to inattention and hyperactivity/impulsivity, commonly associated with the diagnosis of ADHD. SOUTDAH is a virtual software to track symptomatic manifestations of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity/Impulsivity Disorder, through the SNAP-IV method, developed from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th edition (DSM-5), of the American Psychiatric Association (APA). It consists of the description of 18 ADHD symptoms, which must be scored on a scale with four levels of severity, which are based on the intensity and frequency of occurrences of the behaviors. This business model intends to meet the needs of schools, health professionals, education professionals and family members who need to identify ADHD-related behaviors to help these people in difficult situations. The low cost of the software design process is divided between development, website hosting and digital marketing. This research intends to adopt the agile development model, which allows the combination of several tools aiming at the agility of the construction process.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • This work aimed to develop mvp(minimum viable product)of online tools for offering a serviceAffective sensory tests for Home Use or Home use test (HUT) of foods. The business model proposed here is based on the collection of data provided by volunteers (potential consumers) captured from online campaigns, so that their profile can correspond to the loyal user (heavy user) of the product under test. The data provided in the sensory analysis will be presented through dashboards, which will allow food and beverage manufacturers to have access to sensory insights arising from the heavy user experience in home use. The methodology proposes a bibliographical survey, field study on the topic and an mvp of an online tool for applying the affective sensory testing service in Home use test mode, having as study object 2 cases of services provided by the startup, the first being the survey of the profile of loyal users for the pepper jelly product and an affective test of a preservative-free guava ketchup formulation. As a result, sensory insight information was obtained that could be used to improve the ketchup formulation based on the experience of home use as well as the profile of the loyal pepper jelly consumer. Finally, it was concluded that the use of technology to evaluate the experience of using a food as a way of evaluating its acceptability can provide insights that are not obtained when sensory evaluation takes place in a controlled environment, such as laboratory cabins.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The biotechnological development of new food products consists of the improvement of processes and methods in which natural resources are contemplated. In this sense, the vegetable Anacardium occidentale Linn stands out. (Anacardiaceae), popularly known as cashew tree and holds wide commercialization of the nut, the liquid of the nut shell and the cashew stalk. In Brazil, these products have great agronomic value and are significantly important for the agricultural sector. The main objective of this present work is the elaboration of a biomass based on A. occidentale (AO) that specifically consists of the use of cashew stalk bagasse supplemented with Pisum sativum (PS), to create a gluten-free nutraceutical food. The raw material AO was commercially purchased, sanitized with chlorinated solution, followed by cutting, drying in an oven with air circulation, crushing and sieving. Pea (PS) was purchased commercially in its frozen form. The bromatological analyses of the dehydrated biomasses AO and PS showed, respectively: 25.3% and 35.23% of moisture; 45.8% and 48.74% of carbohydrates, 15.8% and 7.5% of fibers, 6.3% and 7.9% of proteins, 4.3% and 0.7% of lipids, 2.5% and 0.53% of ashes, 74.7% and 65.37% of total solids. Based on these data the nutritional composition of the biomass AO was supplemented with pea (PS) in a 1:1 ratio (AO:PS), with a dietary profile rich in carbohydrates, fibers and proteins, with low lipid content. The resulting biomass AO:PS was utilized to prepare a hamburger so called CashewNutriMeat, aiming at a creation of a new line of gluten-free vegetarian product. The sensory characteristics of this new product, was carried out with 64 tasters and showed statistical acceptance in the order of 59.4%. In this sense, the CajuNutriMeat product proved to be nutritionally acceptable and together with the sensory acceptance, herein was considered suitable for the production of healthy food. So, the present research is inserted in the biotechnological field and represent an effective alternative in the development of new gluten-free functional food products.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The purpose of this dissertation is to analyse the perception of credit union managers regarding
the encouragement and financing of business initiatives in line with the principles of the
circular economy. Incorporating research and studies into the role of cooperatives in this
transition to the circular economy is essential for re-evaluating current production models and
their impacts, thus aligning organisational management with Environmental, Social, and
Governance (ESG) indicators. The current scenario emphasises the transition from the linear
economy to the circular economy as an imperative to guarantee the continuity of sustainable
production and consumption processes. This research is justified by establishing this relevant
connection for regional development with a focus on sustainability. The principle objectives of
this study are to understand the perceptions, challenges and actions of credit union managers in
identifying circular business opportunities, as well as the instruments that can facilitate support
for these initiatives. To achieve these objectives, this study will adopt a mixed research
approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methods of an exploratory and descriptive
nature. Qualitative research aims to deepen understanding of the phenomenon in question,
while quantitative research aims to use representative samples and statistical analyses to
guarantee the robustness of inferences. The research methods used were bibliographical
research and a survey using online questionnaires for credit union managers. It is hoped that
the results of this project will contribute to the development of instruments that make it
possible to issue sustainable bonds and grant credit to companies with circular business
models, thus promoting a business environment that is more in line with the principles of
    sustainability and the circular economy.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The information age is also the age of personalization, and the school cannot be apathetic to this phenomenon. The COVID-19 pandemic has opened the “curtains” and exposed the backstage of an educational system that has long been failing to achieve satisfactory results, especially in the areas of Portuguese and mathematics, which are fundamental to the formative process. Thus, DIGIprof positions itself as a methodological alternative, structured in the mold of instructional design, which assists the learner in managing their learning (personalized learning), based on methods of educational data science, with the aim of redefining the function of different evaluation models and the data generated and mined by them. It proposes that the student, in addition to accessing these data through visualization panels (dashboards), can follow a path of learning recomposition, mediated by technology, with different learning media and various evaluative methods, aiming for greater autonomy for the student and clarity in the data that will guide the teacher’s action.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The publishing market has been facing significant challenges, primarily with the expansion of the digital market and the increasing participation of new players, such as self-publishing platforms. Despite the growth of the  arket, the dominance is held by large publishers. Concurrently, there is a trend of strengthening small  ookstores and independent publishers in Brazil. However, this market dynamic also brings new challenges, such as limited product exposure, logistical problems, high fees imposed by large bookstores, and concentration in the local market. The theoretical foundation of this project included an extensive literary review covering topics such as the publishing market, e-commerce, business models of platforms, project-based businesses, and Artificial Intelligence. Moreover, for a deeper understanding of user needs and the market, the Cralves creativity framework was used, which adopts Design Thinking principles. In this context, it is proposed to develop a digital platform dedicated to optimizing the life cycle of book production and commercialization. This digital platform aims to offer an integrated ecosystem of services available on demand, including typing, editing, layout, cover design, printing, and marketing. Additionally, the e-commerce component of the platform will be equipped with advanced technologies, such as an Artificial Intelligence-based recommendation system and a virtual assistant using Natural Language Processing. It is hoped that the platform specification, the goal of this work with potential for innovation, can support its implementation and, consequently, it may be possible to increase the visibility, availability, and scalability of book production and sales operations. By expanding market reach, an increase in the revenue of the involved editorial entities is anticipated

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Cosmetics are synthetic or natural preparations intended for external use and were developed from the discovery of ingredients capable of sustaining the formulations. Over time, knowledge spread and the cosmetics industry emerged, with a billion-dollar market dominated by an oligopoly of multinationals. To get a sense of its magnitude, data from a survey carried out by Business Insider (2017) shows that 182 of the main beauty companies are controlled by 7 majores players, with the top 20 leaders in this sample recording US$186 billion in annual net sales, according to Beauty Packaging (2023). However, research by the Union + Webster agency shows that 87% of Brazilians prefer companies that work with sustainability, a fact that includes individuals who adhere to slow beauty and veganism. Based on this trend, this scientific-entrepreneurial research aims to diagnose opportunities - for business models - centered on algae-based cosmetics and associated with 4.0 enabling technologies. To this end, the research method is centered on exploratory analysis based on techno-logical and market prospecting. With an applied nature and a qualitative and quantitative approach, the study describes and analyzes the prospected data, supported by bibliographic procedures. The results show the dominance of the major economic powers in the patent, economic and marketing areas, with evidence of cosmetological nanomaterials. Finally, the business modeling of Seaweed Cosmetics helps to support entrepreneurial initiatives involving seaweed in Rio Grande do Norte and supports the production of cosmetics made from the seaweed Gracilaria Birdiae.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Universities face the challenge of transforming a large amount of student data into actionable
insights to enhance academic management and reduce dropout rates in higher education. A
promising approach to identify factors influencing academic performance is Educational Data
Mining (MDE) and Machine Learning (ML). This research aims to develop a method to
uncover key characteristics related to dropout in the Interdisciplinary Bachelor's in Science
and Technology (C&T) program at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN),
focusing on students enrolled between 2014 and 2023. Through a literature review, suitable
ML algorithms were identified for a hybrid approach, combining Random Forest
(classification) and Self-Organizing Maps (clustering), with SHapley Additive exPlanations
(SHAP) for explainability analysis. The process involved Knowledge Discovery in Databases
adapted with stages (data collection, preprocessing, feature mapping, training and testing,
explainability analysis). As a result, a predictive model using Random Forest was developed,
achieving an initial accuracy of 93% in identifying at-risk students, and subsequently 91%
and 89% for unknown data, demonstrating consistency and generalization capability. The
research revealed that dropout is influenced by various factors, including curriculum,
socioeconomic, and demographic aspects. Analysis with Self-Organizing Maps created a
feature map illustrating the relationship between attributes and students' educational status.
Combining with SHAP provided comprehensive insights into attribute influences on model
predictions, highlighting the importance of variables such as academic performance, age at
enrollment, hometown, and socioeconomic status. Finally, a Minimum Viable Product (MVP)
was developed as a proof of concept to showcase prediction results and the explainability of
findings, with descriptive and predictive analyses of patterns affecting student retention.

  • Resumen Espectáculo

  • Data from Sebrae (2007 to 2011) indicate that the high mortality rate of individual microentrepreneurs and microenterprises in the first five years of life is attributed to management failures, lack of preparation, and inadequate planning. The study investigates the potential of a process observatory as a tool to face these challenges for startups. The paper concludes that the implementation of such an observatory can help overcome challenges, improve management, and, consequently, increase the chances of success of startups. The article highlights the growth of startups in Brazil, driven by financial incentives and an innovation ecosystem. However, these companies, despite being innovative and agile, face an environment of high uncertainty and mortality. Innovation, as highlighted by the Oslo Manual, is fundamental to the success of startups, requiring constant adaptation and review of strategies. The research employed a literature review, analysis of secondary data, and application of a questionnaire to founders and managers of startups. The methodology sought to capture a comprehensive view of the internal processes of these companies and the importance of process management for their survival. Data triangulation increased the validity and reliability of the results. The main objectives were to identify startups' shortcomings and propose solutions to mitigate these challenges, focusing on creating strategies that drive development and reduce mortality rates.

  • This work aimed to develop a butter cheese cream, based on the artisanal production process. The first stage of the project was to map the entire artisanal “Queijo de Manteiga” production process and identify where innovation could be promoted. Then the new product, a cream of “Queijo de Manteiga” , was manufactured in an Artisanal Cheese Factory, that is in the process of certification, in the Central Mesoregion of Rio Grande do Norte (RN). After manufacturing, the entire production was packaged in commercial packaging, already used in the industry and evaluated for consumer acceptance and the product's useful life. To validate the butter cheese cream formulation, a sensory evaluation was carried out with 79 untrained evaluators, between 18 and 69 years old of both sexes, which obtained an Acceptability Index greater than 70% in all attributes. Monitoring of the product's useful life (Shelf-life) was carried out with sensory, physical-chemical and microbiological analyses, which reached a validity of 48 days, if kept under refrigeration; which meets the appropriate standards for this type of dairy product. After these evaluations, a label and packaging were developed in accordance with RDC nº 429/2020 and an estimate of production costs for the butter cheese cream was made. The cream of “Queijo de Manteiga” was approved by the tasters in the sensory evaluation, its production costs and yield are similar to those of other artisanal dairy products and it has commercialization potential in the local market in the State of RN. Concomitantly with the development of  cream of “Queijo de Manteiga”, market research was carried out with the owners of cheese and dairy factories in the State of Rio Grande do Norte, which indicated their interest in manufacturing a new dairy product. Thus, cream of “Queijo de Manteiga” could result in an alternative that, in addition to innovating, adds income to artisanal cheese makers and enhances the value of dairy products manufactured in the State of Rio Grande do Norte.

  • The Fourth Industrial Revolution, characterized by the convergence of disruptive
technologies, reshaped the global landscape and labor market demands. In this context,
mastering foreign languages becomes essential for individual and professional success.
However, for many adults, achieving fluency in a foreign language remains a significant
challenge, particularly in effective and natural communication. This study proposes a
teaching methodology that combines active and natural learning approaches, aimed at
adults who struggle with effective communication and comprehension of native and non-
native speakers. This audience requires flexible schedules, goal-oriented learning, and
methods that allow for practical progress measurement, adapting to varied contexts and
individual needs. The characteristics of this audience are often overlooked by traditional
methodologies and online courses, which focus on rigid grammatical elements or content
without a clear approach, making learning challenging. Utilizing Design Thinking tools to
map specific needs and explore different solution possibilities, the methodology employs
artificial intelligence to personalize teaching, providing an accessible educational tool
focused on student autonomy. This approach aims to increase the chances of achieving
desired fluency, enabling students to reach personal and professional goals, and expanding
access to educational and professional opportunities. The methodology transcends
traditional barriers, using technology to democratize access to quality knowledge and act as
    a transformative agent in society.

  • Digital transformation is an important phenomenon for society, as it allows for process improvement and increased efficiency in various sectors, in addition to enabling new forms of communication and access to information. Currently, there are significant challenges in accessing information on how to transport cargo in the Amazon region. Cargo transportation services are traditionally slow, bureaucratic, and often inefficient. This hinders the connection between customers who need to send or receive goods and the boat owners who can meet this demand. In a dynamic and challenging scenario, iBarco Carga aims to use science, technology, and innovation to transform the way cargo transportation is carried out on the rivers of the Amazon, making it more accessible, practical, and efficient for customers and partners. By designing an innovative solution for logistics and cargo transportation commercialisation, we want to contribute to the socio-economic development of the sector in the region, aiming at connectivity between all those involved: customers, boat owners, and local communities. When addressing digital transformation in the Amazon, the goal is to integrate the region into the innovation environment, helping to bring technologies everywhere, as well as improving the local economy, people's lives, and bringing advances in various sectors such as education, health, commerce, and transport.

  • The education system in Brazil, according to the organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), presents a stagnation that lasted for ten years, and, when evaluated in the 2018 edition of the International Student Assessment Program (Pisa), the country reached the areas of mathematics, science and literature respectively 70°, 66°, and 57°. This scenario maintaining due to the educational model adopted by the country that does not follow the advances in the area and the devaluation of professionals working in education, according to the OECD (2018), Brazilian teachers are the ones who receive the worst salaries among the 48 countries evaluated. To seek solutions to alleviate this scenario. The present work proposes to develop a system based on machine learning that will analyze the student’s profile to detect the main points of learning difficulty and thus be able to suggest adaptations in the students’ learning strategies. Also, carrying out a continuous performance analysis to find the most significant challenges of Brazilian students and suggest ways to solve them, thus generating a performance improvement. For this, the project will be tested first for programming logic at the School of Science and Technology of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, as this is an environment controlled through a web platform that will extract data from each student and the class in general. In the future, These data are classified through a system based on supervised learning.

  • Economic development, population growth, urbanization in cities were triggers for the increase in the production of pollutants, which caused impacts on the environment. Because of these factors that resulted in the pollution of rivers, springs and lakes, compromising water quality. Based on this information, the present work aims to develop a filter based on biodegradable plant biomass (Curcuma longa L) with remote monitoring for the treatment of industrial wastewater effluent. The methodology was composed of the development of biodegradable biomass, physical-chemical, bacteriological and biological analysis with the use of obtaining and processing data with the application of Data Mining techniques through mining with the use of the WEKA software. The results of the physical-chemical analysis of the parameters pH (pH1), conductivity (cond1), TDS (TDS 1), temperature, turbidity (Turb 1) and color were carried out before and after the treatments of wastewater from soybean and sunflower biodiesel associated with saffron biomass (bark, rhizome, bark + rhizome and commercial). After the verifications, the parameters ph, TDS, conductivity and turbidity were satisfactory, which showed differences between the concentrations associated with the treatments. Bacteriological analyzes were positive for the presence of total coliforms (EC), Escherichia coli and Salmonella shigella in most concentrations associated with the treatment of industrial effluent from soy wastewater. But in relation to sunflower wastewater the results were negative in all concentrations. Regarding the biological parameters of the satisfactory solutions, they noted that the lowest concentrations showed positive results in the period 24 and 72 hours. After that, the quantification of filter residue was carried out where it was observed in the lowest concentrations subjected to treatment with saffron biomass in the industrial effluent of soybean and sunflower biodiesel, respectively bark, commercial and rhizome. A total of 3042 data were analyzed in the weka software with the Apriori algorithm before and after the treatments. However, data from sunflower wastewater are under analysis. Afterwards, all physical-chemical, biological and bacteriological analyzes such as quantification of residue from samples of residual water from soy and sunflower biodiesel are in the filter test phase for the manufacture of the MVP for commercialization. However, new tests will be developed for adequacy of the biodiesel residual water system associated with the treatment of biomass to make the water clear and discarded in the stream or river, following the current legislation as well as the interaction with remote monitoring.

  • In 1911, in the book 'Theory of Economic Development', Joseph Schumpeter conceptualizes innovation as a key element for economic dynamics, as well as presenting its responsible: the innovative entrepreneur. New products, new services or new productive forms can create and destroy markets: the creative destruction of the Austrian economist's theory. Since then, many efforts have been applied to the deepening of innovation theories. However, with the specialization of knowledge, such as conquering markets or developing clients, weaknesses were identified, derived from the fragmentation of existing processes, centered on the vision of the cyclical nature of economic dynamics, advocated by Schumpeter. Having said that, would it be possible to have a process that guides the entrepreneur to contemplate cyclicality in innovation management, in the face of continuous market evolution and technological change? In this direction, the objective of this work was to develop a process of management of disruptive technological innovation for new markets. For this purpose, in addition to the bibliographical review on existing theories of innovation, the research included an experimental procedure for prototyping and validating the process, through its application in an enterprise aimed at the tourism industry. After applying creation techniques, the Stairs4Innovation - S4Inn process was developed. The staircase to innovation is a four-step process: emergence; propagation; consolidation and commoditization, which aims to mitigate the possible impacts of creative destruction on nascent or mature enterprises. The application of S4Inn in the Voy Uniq development, of tourist experiences, sensitized the innovative entrepreneur about the necessary effort for the insertion and maintenance of the market. Finally, the Stairs4Innovation process is defended as a strategic tool for innovative entrepreneurship.

  • Introduction: The analysis of blood cells began, through a simple microscope, in 1668. Since then, the sector has been improving until it reached automated counters, performing differential counting of leukocytes (white cells). The current automated blood count systems are large devices, and it is generally restricted to centralized laboratories and, in a laboratory routine, a differential leukocyte count must be performed manually, which generates a loss of efficiency and, consequently, of money for the labs. Objective: Within this context, the objective of this work is to analyze the technical and operational viability of a new product and methods that help health professionals who counts leukocytes. Methodology: A technical-marketing mapping and studies of algorithms that technically support the solution were carried out. Results: The trained models generated accuracy of 68.87% for lymphocytes, 100% for eosinophils, 99.36% neutrophils and 100% for monocytes for a test bed trained with a specific type of reagent and lens, for other types of conductor and lens, an accuracy of 70% was obtained. Conclusion: Concluding that there is technical and operational viability for a product that gives more dynamism and efficiency to blood test clinics, but there are challenges in the solidification of a process where the health professional includes a device or computer to perform a manual leukocyte count.

  • The General Data Protection Law (LGPD) establishes principles and technical controls for the security and privacy of personal data, ensuring the protection of citizens' fundamental rights. The right to informational self-determination grants data owners full awareness and control over how their data is used. The LGPD requires organizations to have a Data Protection Officer (DPO), who acts as the point of contact between the organization and data subjects, responsible for addressing data subject requests, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the processing of personal data. Failure to comply can result in harmful consequences for organizations, ranging from administrative fines and legal convictions to loss of credibility in the market. The problem at hand, which involves a reduced number of personnel, repetitive and error-prone processes, hampering compliance with legal deadlines in DPO analyses, has motivated the exploration of the possibility of an innovative system, presented in this dissertation along with potential solutions, using the TRIZ methodology. A market analysis is conducted, mapping data protection inventions in the Industry 4.0 and identifying key players, as well as researching investments in data security and privacy, demonstrating business opportunities. Finally, specifications for the requirements of an envisioned expert system prototype are presented, already registered with the INPI as edpOfficer, defining how information will be identified and processed in terms of software specification, aiming to optimize the management of data subject requests by the DPO, including a semantic analyzer in the user interface. This approach highlights the challenge of obtaining accurate and reliable information to support decision-making with minimal human intervention and the importance of providing the DPO with mechanisms to analyze and direct information to data subjects according to their needs, faster and without compromising quality.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • In the first four months of 2023, more than 1 million MEI (Individual Microentrepreneur) companies were registered in Brazil. This number represents a 26.2% increase compared to the last four months of 2022. Out of the total active companies in the country, 93% are MEIs. With unemployment and informal employment exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the low-income population needed to find means to generate income during this period. There has also been a growing demand for financial institutions due to the market changes that occurred. In a survey conducted by SEBRAE, 60% of MEIs don't even know how to separate their personal bank accounts from their business accounts, and 67% use apps from traditional banks and fintechs to carry out their financial transactions. Currently, there is no clear and simple tool in the market to assist micro and small business owners in managing their finances in a straightforward manner. This project aims to create a simple, inclusive, and educational dashboard to help this audience manage and organize their finances.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Startups are flexible and innovative organizations with business models under construction, seeking to gain maturity and competitive advantages that consolidate them in the market. Naturally, it is common for startups to fail in achieving their objectives due to various factors, from internal issues such as poor process management, to external issues such as loss of competitiveness relative to competitors. In the corporate world, strategic management has presented itself as a solution for senior management of companies to structure business models, even complex ones, through strategic planning that aligns the objectives of the company's managerial vision with the processes and activities carried out by each directorate and team. Startups, however, have difficulties in applying methods of strategic management, largely due to the uncertainties inherent in evolving business models, as well as the need to act agilely, to accommodate the frequent changes that are part of the routines of these companies. With this challenge in mind, this work presents a reinterpretation and adaptation of strategic management methods organizing them in a flexible and agile way enough to suit the realities of startups. For this, the foundations of competitive advantage, the theory of strategic inflection points, and antifragile business, as well as the problems that interfere with the success of startups, were studied, proposing a combination of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) and Objectives & Key-Results (OKRs) models for strategic management of startups. Thus, strategic management techniques can be applied in a structured and agile way, in a model called Business Strategy Engineering (BSE). BSE, therefore, is a strategic management model redesigned to meet the dynamics experienced in startups, allowing these organizations to think and act strategically, contributing to the planning of their strategic objectives and in obtaining a competitive advantage. As a result, the BSE method is presented and discussed as a business model designed as a business strategy consultancy for startups, directing and leveraging processes for the development of innovation.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Pressure Injury is a type of skin injury that often affects bedridden patients with compromised mobility, especially the elderly. Despite the emphasis given to prevention methods, the aging of the population and the increase in life expectancy naturally collaborate with the increase in the number of cases each year. Therefore, in this project, using methodologies, techniques, and tools for innovation, solutions are proposed for automated monitoring and control of the position of the bedridden patient in real-time, in order to help the correct execution of the decubitus change protocol (position of the lying person). For that, the concepts and contributions of institutions such as The National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel, the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel, and the Instituto de Estudos de Saúde Suplementar were used as the theoretical basis. As a result, two options for smart sensors can be observed, one of the less invasive, both with functional hardware and software architectures, capable of providing data to perform patient monitoring in real-time and to generate information that is presented via a graphical web interface.

  • The advent of digital technology has brought changes in society, such as in the financial market and integrated management systems, which makes financial transactions much more efficient. And in this world, changes generate opportunities, such as in the automation of companies’ treasury management. Apolus tries to create a treasury management tool, where it controls cash and executes securities, applications or redemptions automatically without human interference or harms the cash flow of companies, generating efficiency in capital management and decrease in treasury costs. Once with a tool so validated, a process for validating a scalable business model begins. This research makes a case study about the evolution of the idea and its construction process until thinking about how the next steps need to be taken to create a business and the methods chosen to do so. Therefore, it appears that the tool is under development in companies in the engineering sector, whether as service, commerce or industry, where improvements and solutions are identified in new business opportunities.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Many startups that work with management platforms have excellent practices from ideation to implementation for the end customer. To start and improve its operational methodology, the startup Conecta Mapa - Plataformas de Gestão used the existing demands from Office of Civil Defense of Rio Grande do Norte in its temporal context as a case study giving birth to the Conecta Defesa Civil Platform and the Conecta Água Platform. To manage information and innovation within a company or government departments, the startup had the main objective to consolidate its own methodology. This methodology was developed from the research of good practices via literature review and in the learning of the practices in the context where the platforms were executed, innovating not in the types of technologies used that would become temporarily obsolete, but in the experienced principles that will manage the operational processes. The innovative method created is based on seven principles, 1 - parallelism, 2 - legality, 3 - simplicity, 4 - space, 5 - immateriality, 6 - integration or unity and 7 - beauty. These seven principles can be detected simultaneously on pages of any platform developed by the startup. The reward for using its own methodology was a total transformation of all the startup's processes, which became more agile, with good profit margins and scalable with different types of technology. The application of these principles made it possible to scale from two applications in the office of Civil Defense to ten management platforms in other government sectors and private sectors, from small companies to industries. With the same principles, it was possible in an agile and accessible way to answer different specific demands and solve real problems with the management platforms developed by the startup Conecta Mapa - Plataformas de Gestão.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) industry has been influenced by rapid technological changes, among which the BIM - Building Information Model, translated into Portuguese "Construction Information Model" has stood out in recent times. Projects were no longer made in 2D drawings without information and started to be made digitally. BIM is being one of the hallmarks of innovation in the AEC industry. The methodology proves to be a promising path for the civil construction industry and allows the unification of important information, allows improvements in the project even before its execution and has as one of its main objectives the delivery of projects and works with the least amount of errors as possible, making the projects more faithful to the final product and enabling more accurate budgets, more efficient project execution and construction savings. To this end, the Federal Government is encouraging the use of BIM in Brazil through decrees and laws. In addition to federal public administration entities, engineers, architects and construction companies are being affected by these legislations, however, not all are qualified to work with BIM projects. Therefore, there is an opportunity for growth for BIM designers in the new emerging market. In view of this scenario and the desire to contribute to the promotion of the economy of the construction industry, this work aimed to carry out a study for the development of a web platform, called BIM Office, which aims to provide the connection between those who need buy BIM projects with those who know how to design in BIM, through digital mediation. The studies consisted of carrying out a market research, where the adherence of the business model was verified, therefore, the economic-financial analysis of the startup was carried out, using the NPV, IRR and Payback methods and, in sequence, it was also developed the low fidelity minimum viable product (MVP) using the smoke technique of the web platform.

  • Any project or business, regardless of its size, needs to innovate, and this is no longer an option,
it is a question of survival. However, innovating is not an easy task, especially for the education
sector. The education sector is lacking in innovation in Brazil, as the organizational structures of
teaching institutions are quite rigid and part of this is due to bureaucracies and barriers to the
implementation of new ideas. So, this market need is necessary, a series of solutions has emerged
to bring innovation closer together as educational organizations, although, in the great majority,
focused on the development of pedagogical methodologies and innovations in technology, with
high cost and long periods of development, leaving aside school areas such as management and
business. Given this scenario, this scientific-entrepreneurial research sought to analyze and
validate an opportunity presented to create a methodology dedicated to developing a solution for
the educational sector, to identify innovative bottlenecks and to enhance the innovation process
of these companies, to help search for new strategies and new ways to generate value to the
business quickly. Based on the Double Diamond approach, used to guide the validation and
creation process of LIA - Lean Innovation Audit, a methodology for identifying bottlenecks and
innovative gaps in educational institutions and the development of innovative potential in
schools. A case study was developed using an approach with a company in the IT area and the
results achieved with an LIA, brought improvements to the organization, a huge potential in its
    application in different areas.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The enactment of laws that regularized the production of artisanal cheeses and butter in the State of Rio Grande do Norte (RN), allowed the commercialization of artisanal cheeses and butter, produced according to the regional form and culture, if they have the ARTE seal, which regulates and allows the sale of artisanal products throughout Brazil, even for establishments without Federal Inspection. This combination of factors stimulates the development of agribusiness in RN, especially the dairy sector. However, as much as these new legislations make the rules to produce dairy products more flexible, a common point in all of them is the quality requirements. While cheese production from unpasteurized milk is permitted, it is essential that minimum food safety standards are in place so that consumers' health is not affected. Therefore, it is necessary that the production of artisanal cheese and butter obey the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) programs, which are a set of treaties on the basic concepts of operational hygiene that companies must follow to guarantee products without risks to consumers. On the other hand, micro and small companies have some difficulties in implementing the GMP Program. The first one is related to the lack of qualified labor for the internal elaboration of GMP standards, which leads companies to seek external consultants for the creation of the Program, generating an additional cost in the already costly process of regularization of these establishments. The second problem is related to the maintenance of the BPF. In simpler versions, it can contain dozens of worksheets to be filled in at different times (daily, weekly, fortnightly, semiannually and annually), which generates a volume of information that is difficult to organize for these companies, causing the program to be constantly outdated. Small artisanal cheese makers, mini milk processing plants and other companies that process low volumes of milk usually do not have a responsible person trained to work in this area, and it is normally the responsibility of the establishment owner to keep these records in order, which is not always happens. For these reasons, the objective of this project is the development of an application that can cover the main checklists and control sheets of a generic GMP model, with alerts about the controls to be verified on the day, options for registration and monitoring of the non-conformities, management reports and other requirements and resources necessary for the implementation and maintenance of Good Manufacturing Practices. The incremental innovation of this proposal is the development of a low-cost application, which will allow the inclusion of small and medium-sized companies in the prerequisites for certification together with the official inspection services and, therefore, allow these companies to enter the formal market, generating income and employment in their regions.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Historical trends from all over the world - including Brazil - have shown the increase in the importance of service provision, not only regarding the wealth generated but also the amount of generated jobs. Besides the natural urbanization tendency of the economy -pushed up by agriculture and industrial production throughout the previous centuries-, a current trend of the market is the "offer of experiences" increasing the number of companies providing services to their customer and the importance of services on the global economy. Additionally, the globalization of companies and the work regime becoming remote in many companies -which was hugely accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic- increased the need to improve the management of units, departments, or teams that operate from a different address than the main company's branch. Considering that scenery, the current project aimed to research possible solutions for the needs pointed out previously, besides testing and developing a management methodology for companies that operate through remote units and provide services. This analysis and development of the method were made by action research and a qualitative approach, including the study of different management tools that focus on the analyzed management perspectives -strategy, processes, quality, people, and control. The tests happened in a real environment -a Marketing-tech startup- and the company's team's notes complemented the author's observations. At the end of the research, tests, analysis, and development iterations, the ROADS methodology was compiled composed of both the studied tools that fitted the analyzed cases, and the specific tools developed specifically for it, considering not only the individual use of those tools but each one's group of inputs and outputs during their utilization. It's expected that the tested and developed methodology will help service providers with remote units to achieve more efficient and effective management, just like observed during the tests, besides being new support for decisions making for those cases.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • It was only between 1990 and 2000 that the term Social Entrepreneurship was spread in Brazil. Social entrepreneurship, above all, is an innovative action aimed at the social field whose process begins with the observation of a particular local problem situation, for which one seeks, then, to develop an alternative to face it. In this line of action, Entrepreneurship with social impact stands out in this study, where the entrepreneur seeks financial profit for his own benefit but causes a certain social impact where he acts through his Impact Business/startup, which aligns the resolution of problems socio-environmental and profit generation. Thus, identifying as a problem situation the reduced inclusion of people with disabilities in the job market even in the face of available PWD professionals, technological and innovative tools are necessary to facilitate the PWD hiring process for companies. Develop and validate a technology capable of connecting PcD professionals from the job market and training with accessibility, increasing inclusion and organizational diversity. Within this purpose, descriptive research was carried out to understand the behavior of companies in relation to PWDs in Rio Grande do Norte. Additionally, the potential use of the developed technology was evaluated, through applied research with companies and professionals. Thus, the dynamics of the RN market, its bottlenecks and opportunities were understood, and the application of Inclutec technology and its ability to allocate professionals and increase inclusion and diversity in companies were evaluated, proving to be a viable and scalable business.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • From the Industrial Revolution to the present day, technological advances have brought several transformations within organizations, with the use of intelligent systems that can facilitate and accelerate the performance of tasks efficiently and effectively. Thus, based on the idea that technological innovations can bring agility to the progression processes of technicians at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) with authorization from the Dean of Personnel Management (PROGESP), it is justified the accomplishment of this work for understanding that it is important to study Artificial Intelligence (AI) in this context, and for believing that the presented theme can serve as an incentive for managers, public or private, to invest in intelligent systems. Therefore, the main objective of this work was to analyze the contribution of Artificial Intelligence as an auxiliary tool in the agility and security in the process of progression of administrative technicians, as a way to eliminate or minimize the problems currently faced. This is a case study at UFRN, specifically in the main DPCC and DCEP sectors involved in the processing of this type of process, verifying the flow of the current progression process; and suggesting a new flow with suggestions for improvements. In general terms, it is expected that the progression of administrative technicians at UFRN can have the same effectiveness and reduction of process time as that of professors, since the system for this category has already achieved positive results. It is believed that, with automation with AI in part of this flow, the existing problems in the UFRN technician progression processes will be reduced.

  • The construction industry has undergone many changes in procedures, construction methodologies, forms of contracting and several other aspects. One of these aspects is directly related to contract management, having several themes imbued in this science, whether contractual readjustment, economic-financial balance and contractual management itself. The biggest difficulty for companies is not in the purchase of material, or in hiring personnel, but in the methodologies used and in the management of the financial health of the contract. Whenever the country or the world goes through great difficulties that reflect on the economy, in the current case we can highlight COVID 19, these difficulties affect all economic aspects, especially civil construction, due to the fact that it uses inputs of different natures and that have great variation and impact. With this in mind, in order to provide companies with the possibility of analyzing, faithfully to the legislation, the financial health of the contract, demonstrating the issue of the economic and financial balance of the contract, that CONTRACT RESET has developed a simple and efficient methodology to promote such analysis and put the service on the market as a specialized technical consultancy contract. This will provide companies with a real view of the contractual situation, allowing them to return to maintaining the initial conditions contracted through a procedure called economic-financial rebalancing of the contract.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • The interactions between these actors of a National Innovation System are the subject of research, in order to maximize efficiency between institutions. In this sense, Etzkowitz and Leydesdorff (1995) when studying the dynamics of technological interaction, identify three main characters: university, company and government, the well-known proposed model of the Triple Helix. Briefly, the university is where knowledge generation takes place, the company is the place where this knowledge is applied in practice, and the government is responsible for promoting and financing innovation processes and reducing difficulties for the implementation and development of innovation. innovation culture. In this model, the interactions between these actors must be functional and also institutional, with broad relationship between these institutions. Within the scope of the government, Federal Law 10,973 was enacted on December 2, 2004, known as the Innovation Law. It emerged with the intention of harmonizing and establishing relationships between universities, companies and government bodies, creating a more favorable and dynamic environment for the development of the innovation process; above all, an environment with legal security (BRASIL, 2004). In this sense, government bodies have shown interest in changing the legal framework on Science, Technology and Innovation, creating a more favorable environment for designing new partnerships and strategies to create new products and processes. In this sense, this work aims to establish the Military Fire Brigade of the State of Rio Grande do Norte as a Scientific, Technological and Innovation Institution, so that it can develop research and, with that, prepare the foundation for the creation of an environment favorable to the innovation processes, where the research developed in the Corporation under study can be carried out through the establishment of strategic partnerships and development of cooperation projects, applying all legislation on Science, Technology and Innovation, including the recent regulatory frameworks.

  • Mental disorders are an important public health problem capable of impairing the individual's full affective, social and work functioning. When anxious, depressive or somatic symptoms do not meet the criteria for the diagnosis of anxiety and/or depression, these symptoms are called Common Mental Disorders, a condition that, although less critical than severe mental disorders, is highly prevalent and has a strong impact on the mental suffering and quality of life. Considering its recent advances and applications in the prediction, promotion of mental health, diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders, this research aims to develop a monitoring system for Common Mental Disorders and job dissatisfaction in public servants using techniques of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Therefore, it will be based on a diversified methodology, which will be carried out in four stages: literature review; documentary research; development of tools based on design thinking techniques, agile and lean methodologies; and validation. As expected results, we seek to develop and validate the solution “Sistema LEVES: Levantamento de Emoções e Sentimentos” and make the tool available for use.

  • Faced with the complexity of the fashion production chain, it is noted that for the small entrepreneur who manufactures fashion products, he faces two challenges, what to do with the raw material left over from the production of a given campaign, since in fashion, the materials are easily classified without market value because they are disconnected with what is considered trends, and on the other hand what strategy to use for the acquisition of textile raw materials, since the raw material industries have wholesale sales policies that are inaccessible to the small entrepreneur. It is within this context that the present study aims to develop a technology that connects entrepreneurs in the fashion sector through the possibility of sharing raw materials available in stock. In this direction, exploratory research was carried out on the subject to contribute to the design of the solution in technological tools for the construction of the prototype. With the scientific-entrepreneurial research in progress, the solution to the problem situation has already been approved in two public notices, the first is an acceleration program and the second in a public notice to promote the fashion sector in the state of Rio Grande do Norte . In addition, the research highlights the potential of the solution within the delimited area.

  • Walking is an activity inherent to man, which gives him autonomy for daily life and the impairment of the lower limbs makes this activity difficult, often restricting the right to come and go (BRASIL, 2008). Loss of sensation in the feet is a change that can compromise walking activity. One possibility to avoid damage to insensitive feet is the use of suitable shoes that protect the affected area, so this work aims to develop a process of creating personalized shoes for people with altered plantar sensitivity. The following studies were carried out: a retrospective cross-sectional of the SINAN database, of patients diagnosed with leprosy at Hospital Giselda Trigueiro (HGT) between 2001 and 2018 of cases diagnosed with degree 0 or 1 of disability, which changed degree of disability physical at the time of discharge from multidrug therapy; a study of application of creative framework CRAALVES; product valuation and cost study and a technological prospection research of the footwear market and use of technologies, players and patent applicants. The results identified that the target audience with the highest incidence with a diagnosis of leprosy were multibacillary patients, both sexes, aged over 50 years. Three minimum viable products were made using the technology, technology supply companies have an important participation in the patent application in the world the applicants and inventors market is still dominated by Americans, the largest technology suppliers for the footwear industry sector. The Brazilian footwear industry market still climbs spaces for growth and technological development in search of enabling technologies to increase innovation within the sector. It is hoped that through the union of the triple helix a company can be created that collaborates in the flow of care for patients with loss of sensitivity in Rio Grande do Norte, enabling the delivery of the orthosis.

  • In order to innovate current processes, we found an opportunity in the area of Recruitment and Selection (R&S) to optimize the recruitment process performed by professionals in the area. In the vast majority of cases the recruiter is still delegated to the role of "anthropologist" analyzing up to 1000 curricula per month and taking advantage of only 20% of them according to research by the Brazilian Association of Human Resources (ABRH), and based on interviews with R&S professionals. interviewing the candidates who have the most profile for the vacancy offered. There are more than 6.5 million professionals in Brazil, according to data found on Linkedin. Through the Linkya tool, they will be able to structure a series of questions customized for the vacancy, whose answers will be listed in a spreadsheet. The questions will be taught through a chat with a much friendlier and simpler interface than a form, that is, innovating traditional processes and having bottlenecks is fundamental in the market. Linkya software is a chatbot solution that allows recruiters to chat with candidates. The candidate connects, answers the questions chosen by the R&S team, ChatBot saves the answers in a database and in a simple way the recruiter will be able to filter the results to find more quickly the profiles that fit the vacancy offered. The recruiter can save feedback for the candidate who will receive the message at the end of the process. The business model will be SaaS with monthly subscription or prepaid system per process done. At this time, a third-party platform for Minimum Viable Product (MVP) testing is used that helps to collect data quickly and correctly. Currently, three tests have been performed that have given results higher than expected with up to 80% of responses received via bot, compared to sending resume by email and an organization of the fastest information to be consulted, in addition to the enthusiasm on the part of the selectors who want to repeat with other selection processes due to greater simplicity and agility to apply for the vacancy. The Linkya tool seeks innovation in all chat platforms and professionals available on the internet. It intends to serve an entire company, with various services and, consequently, increasing costs, with the customizable and flexible solution tailored to the R&S professional. Its main differential is the simplicity in the configuration and speed of use of the product and the fact that it works within a very familiar platform: chat. In that first moment with Messenger, and further ahead with other chat platforms as well. The optimization of time with greater capacity to analyze curricula, without increasing costs in proportion as well as greater assertiveness in the selection of candidates due to the database available in spreadsheet. Facilitating screening with personalized responses for each vacancy, and creating a database instead of PDFfiles scattered around the computer, are some of the differentials that allow greater openness in the market.

  • According to government data, tourism employs 7 million people and accounts for 8.1% of the sum of all wealth produced in the country. The impact reaches 53 segments of the production chain. However, weaknesses in infrastructure and planning can generate significant problems, centered on environmental degradation and social exploitation. Added to this problem is the concentration of 'Sun and Beach' tourism, especially when it comes to the Northeast Region of the country. With the purpose of acting in the opposite direction of the mass tourist offer, the Ecotur venture was created in 2016. The initiative has revealed the potential ofseveral destinations in the Northeast, through tourist experiences that escape the conventional products of the agencies in the sector. Rio Grande do Norte is Ecotur's focus, not only because it is where the company is located, but because of all the existing characteristics, which manifest themselves in a scenario of great deficits, such as the high informality of tour operators and the dispersion of offer. It is within the perspective of boosting Ecotur as an agent of local socioeconomic development, through businesses with a socioenvironmental impact of experience tourism, that the present scientific-entrepreneurial research aims to develop technologies to mitigate the aforementioned problems. The central theoretical assumption of the study are approaches, methodologies and creation tools aimed at modeling the business and innovation strategies for the company's traction. Of an applied nature, the research is supported by bibliographic procedures and technological development aimed at electronic business (e-business). Specifically, the entrepreneurial idea turned to the development of a marketplace of tourist experiences with socio-environmental impact in the Northeast, aiming to sell unconventional destinations and using electronic commerce (e-commerce) to facilitate the acquisition and purchase process. Three Minimum Viable Products (MVP) were developed, as well as continuously implemented innovation management processes, supported by the Design Thinking approach and the C Model of Canvas. In unfolding, is the boosting of the startup Ecotur, with significant insertion in the local scene of innovative entrepreneurship, translated by the winning of several public notices, between 2020 and 2022, as well as by the company's indexes. Still within the project's traction processes, an innovation strategy centered on the 'RN in Box' subscription club was developed. The survey results indicate that it is possible to operate in the tourism segment and generate a positive socio-environmental impact.

  • Concrete is a standardized material whose consistency is measured by the slump, which has a previously defined acceptability range, but not always respected in the process of tracing water by the truck mixer operator, causing material losses when returned by the construction staff, or structural problems, by reducing the strength due water excess. Thus, in this work the new technologies for slump characterization will be presented, in order to develop an automation mechanism with the use of sensors and internet of things (IoT), capable of ensuring the material properties. In this sense, we used the works of Amziane et al (2005), Palazzo et al (1989), and Nagarajan et al (2020), as well as NBR 7212 (2012), and others developed within this area. Preliminary studies point to the possibility of use sensors inside the concrete plant, installed in truck mixer, in order to obtain reliable slump results. As well as for the use of machine learning to identify the degree of fluidity, at the time of dosing.

  • The world was suddenly taken over by a technological evolution that transformed the
waypeople live, work and relate. Organizations like Uber, Amazon, Facebook, Google,
Spotifyand Airbnb have put traditional management thinking in check, while so many
othershave stood in the way of not keeping up with the new business dynamics. To keep
upwith this evolution, traditional companies have been looking for agile methodologies
totransform their form of management. According to PMI, inthe past 5 years, 71% of
organizations report using agile approaches to their projectssometimes, often or always.
In fact, between 2016 and 2017, one in five projects usedagile approaches, while another
in five used hybrid or combined approaches. Championshave a keen focus on using agile
approaches to projects - 55% versus 24% percentunderperforming. But just training the
teams and implementing agile methodologies is notenough to achieve the success of the
projects. Each organization has its own dysfunctions. It is also necessary to implement
an immersion process in the teams in order to observethem closely and understand how
they work, as Agile aims at some difficult goals suchas: satisfying customers through the
"satisfaction of constantly changing requirements",which is not met by simple execution
of agile practices. The objective of this master’s workis to develop a methodology that
facilitates the work of agents of change in the processof transforming the traditional
management model into agile, increasing the chances ofcompanies adapting to constant
technological and business changes, focusing on in thedevelopment of an Agile culture.

Éco-Ágil, an Eco-innovation development framework with agile practices, promotes mapping and implementation of solutions employing agile management practices in industry sector companies. We present the Eco-Ágil deployment in a construction company which produces mortar, grout and other materials. This work consists in an exploratory research regarding the framework development through market and scientific data analysis.  We sought to comprehend the client pains, analyzing the economic scenario, environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) practices, in a post COVID-19 pandemic world. We performed a company diagnostics taking into account previous studies, a previous Life Cycle Assessment, and a collaborator survey to asses their agility level. The survey focused on value delivering, communication and transparency, people, work organization, and continuous improvement, which revealed 54 yo 67\% of agility in these aspects.  These results led to the proposal of eco-innovative solutions and agile practice guidance involving the employment of the Scrum framework, its ceremonies, and artifacts in order to register the company to Prêmio Nacional de Inovação 2021--2022 as a first step in order to implement and consolidate agile culture and practices, improving its corporate governance.

  • Brazilian universities have the purpose, in addition to teaching, to generate knowledge and disseminate knowledge. Public universities are responsible for conducting research, disseminating knowledge, as well as, through extension actions, acting beyond physical boundaries. The Triple Helix proposes harmonious operation to facilitate the flow of economic and financial resources, contributing to a structure favorable to productive interaction between universities, government and companies. Despite this, organizational environments that are internally prepared or that encourage interaction between the academic ecosystem and companies are rare. As a result, there are low rates of innovation and student experiences in activities in companies, high cost for the production and development of products and services. Prospect is a 10-step methodology that proposes to structure the communication of universities and companies through a framework that systematically uses challenges to develop the creative potential of students, generating greater opportunities for market applications and business solutions in a practical way , through a digital and physical platform. As a consequence, the student and the company may have a functional and innovative product that solves a real problem, be it a product or service.

  • The existence of mixed families, where people with and without disabilities coexist, can surpass statistics in real numbers. When it comes to deafness, this relationship presents particular scenarios since deaf individuals face difficulties in performing daily activities, such as identifying when a newborn child is crying. It is noteworthy that in Brazil, there are 10.7 million people with hearing loss, of this total, 2.3 million have severe disability, deafness, which affects 54% of men and 46% of women, where 2 out of every 3 Brazilians who have hearing loss, claim to have difficulty performing some daily activity (Instituto Locomotiva, 2019). From this perspective, Buátech was developed, an assistive technology device that identifies the baby's cry, similar to an electronic babysitter, but differing from these by being designed and developed for use by deaf parents. Buátech's preliminary development, in academia (subject of undergraduted thesis of Design degree’s at UFPB), provided positive responses in relation to the implementation of a low-cost solution, giving rise to rudimentary prototypes (not yet fully functional), where the use of non-optimized generic electronic components was implemented. The project has a patent application filed and an industrial design registration granted, respectively registered under numbers BR102015012753-7 and BR302015002055-5. Given these results, the product was presented to the deaf community and received in a positive way, so there was a window of opportunity in the area of Assistive Technology. Considering this scenario, as a proposal for this dissertation, the improvement of Buátech was envisioned, making use of embedded technologies, digital signal processing and machine learning to later assess its technical feasibility. For this, through artificial intelligence techniques, four prototypes were developed and evaluated.

  • With the advent of the IV Industrial Revolution, the challenges of how countries develop, how organizations create value and the role of people in society intensify. In this direction, the exponentially accelerated pace of the 4.0 techno-economic paradigm demands agile responses for the appropriation of Digital Transformation. In the field of cost reduction and increased productivity of organizations, the issue gravitates in Information Systems - IS. Enterprise Resource Planning - ERP is an IS that favors the analysis of data and processes of an organization in a single system, from the integration of activities from different sectors, such as sales, finance, inventory and human resources. A study by the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service reports that over the past three decades, micro and small businesses have been playing an increasingly strategic role in the Brazilian economy. In 2020, small businesses represented 30% of the country's Gross Domestic Product. It is within the window of opportunity of the Digital Transformation that the scientific-entrepreneur research effort of this work lies. The implementation and market traction of the startup General System Integrated - GSI is the core objective of this research. Of an applied nature, the methodological structure relied on the company's business modeling, as well as the frugal development of an ERP for bars and restaurants, the General System 2 - GS-2. The technological solution has essential and friendly features for the commercial segment. Additionally, GS-2 provides for compliance with the constant legal updates of the Federal Revenue, aimed at the functional requirements of the Electronic Consumer Invoice - NFC-e. The technological validation of the invention was carried out in an establishment in the city of Natal-RN. The lean, low-cost product, aimed at small businesses, was a strategy for GSI's insertion in the market. The main result of this work is the growing diffusion of the GSI brand, derived from customer satisfaction with the GS-2 innovation.

  • Technological development generates a plethora of new demands on schools, learners and educators. One of them is the proficiency in English, which offers benefits not only to society but also to individuals who become better able to acquire jobs and to advance in their careers. The English Proficiency Index (EPI) regards Brazilian population’s English skills as low and to enhance the current state of affairs educators must innovate and create new services. Codesign has the potential to be a viable alternative to seek innovation in this industry once it is defined as a novel way of creation in which both users and designer engage in a collaborative effort to generate and test ideas. Its process views the final users as partners who play active roles in the development of the technology that will be used in the future by them. The goal of this research was to use Codesign to generate new ideas for services in foreign language education by developing and validating a toolkit able to assist teachers and students to cocreate services for this line of activity. The effort of designing the toolkit consisted of reviewing activities used in design processes inside the North American tradition following its analysis and adaptation to make them meet the Codesign requirements related to active participation of final users. It was tested in an in-person workshop hosted by an independent foreign language school in João Pessoa, Brazil. The toolkit was successful in providing an innovative process to people who had not had any experience with Codesign in which they generated ideas in an efficient way and, by the end of this endeavor, they were able to create prototypes that were used and validated. It consists of a short handbook that provides instruction to the workshop facilitator, a slide deck to assist with visuals and handouts to the participants. The workshop will be offered as a service to the market and a Business Model Canvas were filled up taking into account the strategy of maintaining costs as low as possible and bootstrapping the investment necessary to grow.

  • Over the last few years, public institutions from different government spheres have started to invest resources in fostering innovative entrepreneurship. Overall, these institutions promote educational initiatives to help entrepreneurs develop startups and innovative companies. In this context, there was an increasing demand for methodologies and practical solutions aimed at entrepreneurial education, as the development institutions usually hired specialized companies or foundations to carry out the projects. Given this scenario, this scientific-entrepreneurial research sought to analyze and validate the opportunity to create a business dedicated to assist amateur entrepreneurs interested in developing startups, but with a commercial approach, aimed at selling projects to entities such as Sebrae, government departments (state and municipal), universities, technology parks and incubators. The Customer Development methodology was applied to guide the process of validation and business creation, which resulted in the creation of Inovenow, a company specialized in the development and implementation of methodologies for the dissemination of practical knowledge regarding entrepreneurship and technological innovation. The results achieved by Inovenow in these first 2 years of activity in the market (2019 and 2020) were extremely positive, the fulfillment of 21 contracts with different institutions indicated the viability of the business. The implemented projects directly trained approximately 440 startups, totaling more than 3,950 people who were impacted, including young people, students, professionals, entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs who participated in pre-acceleration programs, mentoring and events.

  • The traditional advertising format through leafleting, billboards, ads on buses, radio and television, stemming from decades of marketing with little interaction with the individual, came up against the advent of the internet, which in turn was linked to the technological advancement of computers and mobile devices (smartphones) presents us with increasingly innovative and interactive solutions. Based on this and with the evolution of Augmented Reality associated with cell phone cameras and geolocation, using the Global Positioning System (GPS), we have several possibilities to explore advertising with greater interactivity between the user and the brand of a product or service, in a true symbiosis between the virtual and the real world. It is noteworthy also that certain advertising media generate solid residues that can pollute the environment, such as paper, even if they are liable to be recycled, in addition to the urban aesthetic impact caused by the appropriation of spaces that perhaps overshadow the natural beauty of a given region. We therefore have as a main objective of this work the development of a mobile application, called VIRTEAL®. With such application companies can map out areas in certain locations in a city, in order to generate relevant and customizable content of audio, video or images, for the dissemination and commercialization of products or services, with the use of Augmented Reality linked to the geolocation of the user, being its development based on one of the technologies currently available such as: AR.js (Web browser); AR Core (Android); or ARKit (Apple).

  • In the current scenario about sustainability in business, there is a portion of entrepreneurs who cite as the main obstacles to adopting sustainable actions in their respective organizations: the lack of information on sustainability, the difficulties in finding partners willing to work together and also the value to be paid for the sustainability measures. However, there is a growth of companies, in different sizes, with the delivery of eco-innovative solutions to act in this market gap. Therefore, this work aims to develop eco-innovative and sustainable solutions for environments, through the creation of cleantech startup Ecoinbusiness, through a B2B (Business to business) business model that acts as a sustainability consultant for environments (services, industries , shops and condominiums). The methodology based on the proposal of sustainable and eco-innovative solutions for environments developed by Ecoinbusiness during the validation and case study started from an adaptation of the methodology "Eco-innovation in small businesses" by SEBRAE (2017) and was divided into nine stages, starting with presentation of the work plan, ending with the implementation of sustainable solutions and continuous monitoring. Among the tools, techniques and methodologies applied for the creation of Ecoinbusiness and the development of the business model, TRIZ, Framework Cralves, Value Proposition Canvas, Business Model Canvas, among others, were used. In view of this, Ecoinbusiness proposes to the market a business model through partnerships, with the formalization of a performance contract or with values fixed according to the service, aiming to reduce customer costs as environmental liabilities are reduced and increased competitiveness of the business (when a company) or reducing condominium costs, according to the case study. Therefore, the current business model proved to be effective for the present needs of those seeking sustainable development, where during its validation of the value proposition it was possible to measure economic, socio-environmental, socioeconomic and governance gains.

  • With devices aimed at stimulating scientific development, research, scientific and technological training and innovation, Law 13,243 of January 11, 2016 - known as the Legal Framework for Science, Technology and Innovation - impacts on Research, Development and Innovation - RD&I of Scientific, Technological and Innovation Institutions - ICT (from Portuguese: Instituições Científicas e Tecnológicas). The appropriation of the legal instrument by Brazilian ICT can translate into strengthening the country's competitiveness. It is within this legal demand that the window of opportunity for scientific-entrepreneurial research in this work is centered. In this direction, the objective of the study was to develop an agile management methodology, geared to the specificities of ICT, especially with regard to compliance with institutional and legal requirements, as well as in which it speeds up the different phases of RD&I projects. Within this purpose, (1) MS Project, Artia, Slack, Asana, Gantt Project management tools; (2) the Scrum agile methodology; (3) the Design Thinking creation approach and (4) the Technological Readiness Level methodology - TRL were studied. The effort of scientific-entrepreneurial research has generated Optimus, an Innovation Management Methodology aimed at optimizing RD&I projects for public ICT. In addition to monitoring compliance with ICT requirements, in the phases of (i) basic and applied research; (ii) technological development and (iii) innovation, Optimus informs the TRL of RD&I projects, which can be configured to mitigate investment risks. Optimus validation was performed with the Minimum Viable Product - MVP of the homonymous tool, under simulation, through its application in the SPACEVANT research project of the Barreira do Inferno Launch Center - CLBI. The analysis of the validation data showed that the use of Optimus offers speed of processing and simplification of internal procedures.

  • According to the World Economic Forum 65% of young people in primary education will work in professions that do not yet exist. A study commissioned by Dell Technologies for the Institute for the Future (IFTF) predicts that "thanks to technological advancement, by 2030, approximately 85% of the professions will be new, ie have not even been invented." With all the advancement and change we are going through, we need to understand how our young people will qualify to occupy these unfamiliar professions as we live in a dismal scenario of their backgrounds. Studies by the IDEB (Index of Development of Basic Education) show that the dropout each year is 575 thousand students - practically, every minute 1 student leaves a high school in Brazil. Specifically, in Rio Grande do Norte, in high school, the index has a score of 3.2 where the desired average is 7.0. It is important to have an intermediary between schools and students to increase interest in knowledge and reduce dropout, as well as prepare such students for non-existent professions. Thus, comes Scholae 3.0. Scholae means school in Latin and it is a new approach that aims to prepare high school students for the world: that of innovative entrepreneurship. It was applied to high school students at Professor Francisco Barbosa State School. The project actions were carried out in the inPACTA incubator, in the laboratories of the School of Science and Technology and also in the students' own school. The project methodology is anchored in the pillars of Lean Startup and the entrepreneurial logic of Effectuation. As a result of the research there is the application of three Entrepreneurial Modules that resulted in actions and participations in Entrepreneurial Education Seminars of ABENGE, Brazilian Association of Engineering Education and Science and Technology Week of UFRN, besides the interventions in the school itself as Sample Thematic and Knowledge Fair, aiming to awaken in public school students a new way of thinking based on the identification of opportunities and creation of startups. Scholae 3.0 aims to develop the student for today's world by empowering these young people in tools that awaken their entrepreneurial potential, to create well-defined sustaining goals while still young, favoring the implementation of ventures that can mature in their minds and lead them. understand that they play an important role in the present and future of the Society: employability and income generation for themselves and others.

  • Technological evolution creates opportunities and challenges for economic actors. In an attempt to exploit the benefits and reduce the difficulties of this evolution, these actors strive to create more efficient innovation processes. In this sense, Research and Development strategies focused on the technology foresight activity are necessary, in order to subsidize innovation. Therefore, in this work, we analyze the processes of technology foresight based on patents, with the objective of developing an online tool capable of generating reports of technology foresight, in an agile and automatic way. For this, contributions on innovation and technology foresight were used in the terms defined by Ribeiro (2018), Oliveira (2019), Instituto Nacional de Propriedade Intelectual (2015), among others. The research is of a qualitative and quantitative nature, has an exploratory objective and uses documentary, bibliographic and experimental procedures. The data collected through user evaluations demonstrate that the developed tool achieved the proposed objectives and generated relevant technology foresight reports.

  • Innovate is not an option, it has became an eminent necessity of all company’s sectors and trajectory. If one organization does not innovate it dies, also one society that is not innovative tend to not survive in a world so full of change. In face of this perspective, this work aim to develop a business with scalable technology base, replicable and competitive, linked to the financial system. Thus, it is fundamental a mobile app for management of sales through card machines, named Controli, once the process of manually consolidating the sales informations make it hard to the real control of the utilization of financial data. For example, the fact that the manager do not generate precise reports of sales and do not keep track of the real financial flow. To acomplish the goal, strattegic tools to stimulate criativity and innovation were applied to the Controli. Thereby, has been created one startup aligned with the necessities of the client?s segment and, mainly, with all the possible validation analysis of the market. Through the study, it was noticeable that Controli is efficient, mainly in relation to the real necessities of the clientes, because it showed that it is possible to achieve a better transparency of information to the comercial establishments and to the managers, specially when it comes to taxes charged by card operators.

  • According to the Oslo Handbook (2006), an alert has been made in any sector of the economy, through various forms of changes in the way organizations work. However, the same happens with the movement once again accelerated, Brazil remains stagnant when it comes to innovation. The all-in-one Global Innovation Index of 2017, organized by Cornell University, together with the World Intellectual Property and Business Development School (WIPO), did not improve its performance and actions at the same time as 2016, in which a 69th place was also placed in the index. One of the reflexions that Sebrae (2017) points out is that there is a delay between years of schooling when compared to the new needs in our society. This causes a gap in terms of a way to launch through organizations and, consequently, to deliver to society. Therefore, the main purpose of this work is to propose a management approach to business and service organizations and projects based on the concepts of User Centered Design and the market perspectives that surround an organization. The researches were bibliographical and documentary research, as well as the collection of data available in the interviews of assets in the information management, as important sources of information for this area with the intention of getting closer, and consequently, to stimulate an understanding of the subject. In this way, contribute to the strengthening of business management.

The country also leads other types of crimes from all grades, from the smallest to the most heinous crimes. In this scenario, we sought to analyze the relationships between heinous crimes, against life and greater offensive potential with infractions, which are more common and routine, those with less offensive potential, such as the disturbance of the quiet of others, the use of data mining and Business Intelligence (BI). The ratio of 1: 15: 45: 415 was found, that for every 415 disorderly offenses, a crime against life occurs, reinforcing the ecological approaches to crime, the existence of a sequential development of crime, and an interconnection between disorder and the most serious crimes. Where each community will have its own development of police occurrences, being necessary the individual analysis of the local process of the sequence of the development of the crime.

  • In a globalized economy, where competition is growing rapidly across all industries, it has become essential for any organization to know what its customers crave and think. Today, customers are increasingly critical and demanding, and providing satisfaction to them is no easy task. Innovative companies, better known as Startups, have the mission of using all the technological resources and skilled manpower to develop solutions that solve the problems of the oldest organizations. Behind Startups, we find the entrepreneurs, with a vision of the future, can solve problems of other companies or suggest improvement in the processes, products or services that already exist. Gyms, like any other organization, need help to leverage business and find Startups the ability to solve customer capture and loyalty problems. Therefore, consumer satisfaction studies are now increasingly relevant, and widely discussed in both the academic and business communities. The main objective of this project was to develop a management platform for academies, with innovation in the tools of capture and relationship with customers and partners, through a system that allows the purchase of credits allowing to use them in the academies registered in the database of the platform . To achieve the proposed objectives, the methodology adopted was the qualitative research, with exploratory and descriptive characteristics, trying to describe the factors that contribute to student dissatisfaction in gymnastics academies. The research method used was the inductive one, checking the situation of a small gym and, consequently, positioning itself on the recommendations and improvements in the system of the Prepaid Academy. The results showed that Social Networks has the potential to define potential clients interested in the Platform proposal and new business opportunities were identified by inserting new liberal professionals into the Platform's ecosystem to work together using the site Prepaid Academy.

  • The United Nations Development Programme report (2014) highlights the growth of social economical inequality in all the parts of the world. Among the initiatives in order to mitigate this scenario, are the Social Impact Businesses (SIB). According to a mapping done by Pipe.Social, a platform which operates in the Brazilian Social Impact ecosystem, between 2017 and 2019, there was a 73% growth of enterprises in this sector. In the other hand, the number of brazilian SIB that uses technology on their solutions is very low, imposing a challenge for scalability and for problem-solving capacity. In that direction, the scientific-entrepreneurial effort of this research is to develop a methodology of open innovation applied for the creation of value proposition to generate technological SIB. From intellectual property assets and frugal innovation, based on the design thinking approach and practical tools for innovation, a step by step process was structured in order to create a value proposition for a possible Social Impact Business, starting from a situation-problem and ending up with a scalable solution. To validate the process, the methodology was applied in some situations-problem from one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals/2030 Agenda, which sought to assure the supply of clean water and sanitation to all. The data showed the viability of Fruggy as a methodology for the creation of value proposition to Technological Social Impact Businesses.

  • Human and animal waste as a source of renewable energy emerges as a new way to solve one of the major environmental problems faced by municipalities. In the urban area human waste needs to be directed and treated, as these are the main cause of sanitary diseases, in the rural area animal waste can be reused as fertilizers and biogas production for reuse in ovens. Bio-kerosene is a trend toward replacing petroleum kerosene in aviation, but it still needs advancements to minimize production costs. In order to construct a reflection on the subject, this work has as object of study the simulated development of a new technology for processing the tailings for the production of aviation bioquerosene. The overall goal was to simulate the operation of the process. To construct this analysis we developed two specific objectives: a) to construct the equipment of the study process b) to simulate and to validate the process. The results demonstrate that there is a great viability in the transformation of this biobased biomass of aviation. This technology was developed for macro-scale processing, where investment and operating costs are high, but can be improved for construction on a commercial scale.

  • Insecurity is a public problem and is commonly present in the daily lives of the population. It is notorious that many people seek alternatives to minimize or avoid situations that cause risks to them or their loved ones. Technology is shown as an efficient tool in this scenario, since it assists in various situations and quickly and practically. The present work aims at allying the technology with the problem of the lack of insecurity, through the creation of a mobile application with the purpose of providing the end user with a proposal for help in adverse situations. The app can be used by anyone with a phone with Android or IOS settings. The ultimate goal of the application is to provide the client with a useful alternative so that they can mitigate the problems of personal insecurity upon return to their home, as long as their family members have protection or contracted services such as private or street safety. For the implementation of the project, tests are in progress so that all the particularities are tested, before the feasibility and final disclosure of the application.

  • Ubïo is a portable platform for capturing emotions. Emotions are invisible despite dominating our actions. We can lie about them, hide them, but never do without. They monitor our bodies and our lives. We want to make them visible to expand the field of creative possibilities and interaction with the world. The body is the most powerful creative multimedia platform ever created. Taking over this body becomes an essential step in creative and educational processes. However, this cognitive and physical knowledge must be developed to be accessible to the person through specific exercises and techniques, thus opening new creative paths. The objective of the Ubïo platform is to seek criteria and educational and artistic foundations in order to achieve new advances in terms of education, health and creativity. There is a real demand in the creative economy market for the development of personalized sensory tools. It is no longer about second-rate technologies, there is a real demand for technological innovation in this area. Ubïo will use the physiological data together to apply in various possible fields such as art, architecture, trade, art therapy. We can leverage this project to meet demands of various types and make the Ubïo platform a structure to house projects related to the body and meeting a strong demand for isolutions such as in the field of Intelligent Cities.

  • Biomedical implants have emerged to solve various health problems, mainly in patient rehabilitation, through dental implants, improving a quality of life. Researches on implant surfaces that provide a need to obtain a rapid osseointegration in areas of low bone density, numerous researches have been developed to modify the surface morphology. There are several processes involving mechanical, chemical and physical methods, aiming at the most varied degrees of textures. Among them, there is an Electrolytic Plasma Oxidation (PEO). In order to solve the problem, PEO was used as a surface treatment method. They were treated with 18 cylinders of grade II titanium, 3 mm in diameter and 25 mm in length. The treatment time was 1, 8 and 16 minutes. An electrolytic solution was at room temperature and applied measurement of 290 V. After the treatments, as samples were characterized by X-Ray Fluorescence (FRX), Optical Microscopy (OM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Lightning Spectroscopy -X and Dispersive Energy (EDS). Empute Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) for surface texture characterization. Visual inspection and wettability tests were also carried out. The presence of TiO2 on the surface of the sample is identified in the work by means of chemical analysis by X-ray Fluorescence. It was verified in the MEV that the coatings exhibit a porous characteristic, presenting an interface well adhered and without presence of empty spaces. In the images of the AFM it was observed that with the increase of the treatment time with a greater roughness and increase of the homogeneity of the distribution of the ceramic crystals in the surface. In the wettability tests they presented a lower wetting angle for samples with PEO treatment with time of 1 and 8 minutes. It is concluded that the Electrolytic Plasma Oxidation technique proved to be effective in the deposition of a ceramic coating on the surface of the titanium alloy.

  • Currently, Brazil faces a continuous drop in sales in its industrial sector. As production costs do not accompany the billing reduction, this event causes the unit cost of production to increase which is a reflection of the low productivity and competitiveness of the industries. In this context, the theme “Industry 4.0” has been much debated and several countries have built guidelines to leverage the resumption of industrial growth. Accompanying the development of lean manufacturing, the concepts of “Internet of Things” and “Big Data” are taking on major proportions. In this way, a trend for the future is to adopt these new technologies. Among the available technologies, the Programmable Logic Controller Applied to Efficiency Management, Maintenance and Internet of Things is presented: a device focused on connectivity and productivity that aims to bring together industries of all sizes and the “Industry 4.0”. Considering from the PLC remote programming functionality to statistical analysis of production into a single product, the expectancy is the industry have access to state-of-the-art technology at an affordable price. Finally, as a way of exporting a feasibility of adopted and relevant technologies, a study on statistical indices was carried out and how technological contributions can influence the efficiency of the packaging industry of a food industry.

  • The beef cattle breeding chain in Brazil has high production technology. The carcases may be sold in whole, cut or processed pieces, which are fresh or chilled. In Brazil supermarkets are the main distributors of meats to consumers, as a consequence, they are also the regulators of the price of the product. Meat houses and butcher are gradually emerging as alternatives to the markets, since the consumption of the product has remained stable in recent years. In addition, the meats market presents new trends, where the consumer focuses not only on the purchase of the product, but also on the experience provided by it. However, the investment for these marketplaces are high, and this value is passed on to the final costumer. E-commerce is an alternative for the sale of high quality meats, because it’s possible to reduce the investment in physical space and in fixed costs, offering to the final consumer a product with in quality and competitive price, as well as the experience of a purchase idealized only for him and his need. The startup FURNAS Top Carnes has entered the market with the aim of providing fresh or frozen meat products of different quality and competitive price. In order to analyze the economic viability of the startup were considered, the main commercial cuts and the average weight of the animal in 180kg. It was possible to estimate that in less than a year it will be possible to pay the investments made, since the company presented good performance in its commercialization. Growth weaknesses have also been identified to meet market demand, being necessary to work better with the stakeholders chain.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • Brazil is known, among other things, for having a creative people. However, all this creativity is not applied to generate innovation, considering that for innovation there is a need to implement the invention (technology), and considering that, in many areas, entrepreneurial creativity is underutilized to give more space to purely logical and rational thinking. All this can be proven by analyzing the fate of inventions created within the scope of the academic sector, where research, for the most part, is destined to publish articles; when analyzing the startups that are being created, that for the most part are without scientific base; and when analyzing the way of acting of some researchers and managers, who disregard the creative entrepreneurial thought in their actions. In this way, we have, on the one hand, the isolated science of entrepreneurship and, on the other hand, the entrepreneurship isolated from science.
So, how to drive innovation generation? Aiming to provide a way to generate innovation, the research focused on creating an environment capable of uniting these two spheres, transforming academic environments into entrepreneurs and taking scientific basis for purely entrepreneurial environments, inserting entrepreneurial creativity in the way of thinking and acting of the people inserted in this environment. This is the Innovation Microenvironment (MAI), a virtual environment that can turn lame projects into an innovative Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in 120 hours. To do so, it draws on design methodologies and business knowledge (administration and economics) for the generation of innovative technologies. The MAI is anchored in the Think and Do and Crossed Advice and TechnoCommodity (TC) methodologies and was applied to the Incubator of Academic, Scientific and Technological Processes of the School of Sciences and Technology (inPACTA) with the students of the Professional Master of Sciences, Technology and Innovation (MPI) of the School of Sciences and Technology (ECT), Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). As a result of the research we have created the MAI Manuals, which are a compilation of the methodology developed. Although the MAI has been applied to inPACTA and ECT, it can be replicated in a variety of environments (academia, companies, incubators, accelerators, etc.), believing in the principle that products are a reflection of the molds, MAI has to be scalable and replicable, like the startups. The MAI will continue to be the object of research during the PhD at the European University.

  • Since the invention of Tim Berner-Lee, the World Wide Web (WWW) in the 1990s, there has been a continual resize of how countries develop, how organizations create value and the role of people in society. In this scenario, connectivity favored business models based on organizational network arrangements that brought profound socioeconomic impacts. Within the concept of shared economy, companies such as uber, airbnb, netflix or spotify are the main players - respectively - in the transportation, accommodation, television and music markets, with modest tangible assets. It is within this bias that the research aimed to diagnose these commercial relationships, as well as to develop strategies of connectivity and interactivity between different actors that compose the said market. From the study of shared economy technologies, customer experience and data mining, Simple Construction® methodology was developed - market management technology for civil construction and decoration services. Focused on the access of information, often imprisoned in some professional niches, as well as in the connectivity of all the actors of the business relations of the construction and interior decoration, the tool integrates the best functionalities of marketing, business modeling and design thinking. With a user-centered design, in order to configure itself as an active player in this ecosystem, in a dynamic and agile model, the minimum viable product was the Simple Design module, from the platform with the same name to the methodology.

  • The startups stand out in the middle of the other ventures given their focus on innovation and technology, being valued by the capacity of dynamization of the economy. With the increasing number of projects in recent years, it is important to create a tool that seeks to facilitate interaction between the parties involved in this process. Thus, the present study presents a model for the evaluation of startup maturity level, proposing the compilation of three known methodologies, in order to bring greater agility in relations between startups, investors, companies and institutions. This method will be made available in a virtual platform with distinct areas for each user segment, in an interactive and personalized way. The validation will be done in the InPacta-UFRN incubator, with 27 projects to be submitted by the masters of science, technology and innovation, where they will be evaluated, ranked and selected following the methodology developed. In order to obtain the desired results, the data collection will be carried out through the MVP developed during the master's degree and finally, the data will be analyzed through the proposed model and presenting the results and conclusions.

  • A great idea to tackle a real problem is a promise of a successful business model.  However, transforming it into reality is a hard long way run. Design Thinking, Lean Startup and Scrum are included in a long list of valuable approaches that have emerged to support entrepreneurs during their journey. In this work, we investigate the process of selecting business methodologies under entrepreneurs’ perspective, focussing on tech young entrepreneurs. Our findings have pointed out that this particular kind of entrepreneur is very susceptible to get into technological traps, dedicating excessive effort to product development activities. We propose an integrated approach that targets this phenomenon, which we named active paralysis, to help entrepreneurs to identifying technological traps and work on guidelines to overcome it. We applied our approach in Brazilian tech startups of different areas and present in this the results we have achieved.

  • Faced with the need for changes in distance education, this project proposes a technological solution that involves methodologies such as ABP, gamification and storytelling, as well as design thinking. These are just some of the current trends in education. Based on the Invention Problem Solving Theory or TRIZ, a new methodology was developed, called CDP, which means to capture, determine and practice. It guarantees the production of contents of nonpresential courses, as well as the offer of a multidisciplinary team to meet the demands of the students. For this, concepts of Vygotsky's socio-interactionist theory and mediated learning, as well as Bono's lateral thinking, were also used.

  • The demand for methods of detecting pathogens through DNA analysis has been growing in several areas, molecular biology is not restricted to human health applications, agribusiness, for example, has several applications for this technology. However, the high cost of detection systems by polymerase chain reaction (PCR), make difficult the insertion of these techniques in the agribusiness. Therefore, the need to develop for these markets, products and services that offer a viable solution, is something prominent, solutions that apply protocols for low cost reactions, create management system that integrate management of the analysis and management of the routine processes of a laboratory, offer a way to solve this problem. Using software development methods with consolidated programming languages and frameworks, such as RUBY, PYTHON and Ruby on Rails, we also use the concept of minimum viable product (MVP) for prototyping and a business modeling methodology that is currently the most used in the startups market, the Business Model Canvas. With the support of these methodologies we obtained as a result an indication for market orientation, a WEB system capable of managing the inputs, the samples of a routine, the reactions used in the analyzes and the results of these samples. All with the security, availability and redundancy offered by WEB systems. Added to this is the creation of a desktop software tool to aid the process of analyzing the samples and sending the results to the server whenever there is an internet connection. The validation of this prototype occurred in a company focused on agribusiness. Thus, it is concluded that the MOLBIT system offers the market a service capable of implementing a viable molecular analysis routine for the agribusiness segment, making this technology accessible to companies in this field.

  • Sustainable socioeconomic development is based on the accumulation of technological capacity driven by the diffusion of the culture of innovation. In 2004, faced with this context and the demand for reducing the gap between Brazilian scientific and technological production, Law No 10,973 of 2004 was passed - Law of Innovation. In 2016, the Innovation Law was resized by Law No 13.243 of 2016 - known as Legal Framework in Science, Technology and Innovation. Within this legal demand, the research efforts of this work aimed to develop strategies of diffusion of the culture of Innovation. Specifically, in one of the pillars of technological capacity accumulation: the higher education. The research, of a descriptive and exploratory nature, of the scientific bias, carried out analyzes on the trajectory of the Brazilian science, technology and innovation ecosystem and on education technologies, exploring their functionalities and weaknesses, as well as studies on design tools and methodology implementation. With regard to technological development, the tools studied were applied to create the methodology ICAS (Instrumentalize – Connect – Assess – Solve. From Portuguese, Instrumentalizar – Conectar – Analisar – Solucionar), that is focused on the appropriation of the perception of the role of science, technology and innovation in the socioeconomic dynamics in higher education. The technological validation was obtained from the use of the methodology by the Thematic Chamber of Technological Business of the School of Sciences and Technology of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. In addition, the ICAS methodology can be scalable and replicable in other segments of the organizations that make up the triple helix (universities, companies and government sectors). Besides that, within the scope of generating innovation culture, the design of a research, innovation and private development agency was developed, based on the analysis of the legal framework of support institutions as well as funding and development agencies; and a methodology of public management, through the Business Model Canvas tool.

  • In the perspective of ensure to all Brazilians the basic principles of the Unified Health System (SUS), integrality and universality are compromised due to the difficulty in meeting the demands and particularities of a country with continental territorial dimensions. The inequality of access to health services caused by the lack of geographical distribution of health professionals in remote areas, especially in the field of radiology, makes it difficult to perform such a large and ambitious health policy. In this context, the study presents a solution to this problem, offering the opportunity of the whole process of medical reporting to be done in a decentralized way and the distance via the web through a telediagnostic platform. Regarding the methodology, the following technologies were used for the development of the mentioned platform: the database management system PostgresSQL, due to its great stability and reliability, and Laravel, which is a web development framework. As results achieved, it was observed with the implementation of the OpenTeleDiagnóstico (OpenTD) that it is possible to overcome important barriers in the area of radiology, positively impacting the hospital work process. OpenTD users at HUOL were satisfied with the platform. Another significant factor observed in the platform is the environmental and financial impact provided by the reduction of paper use in the health service since the reports are digitized and stored safely.

  • Paper documents are being replace in different areas every day and, for any activity that requires authenticity, these new digital forms need to assure the same guaranties as the physical document does, i.e., authorship, authenticity, chronological evidence and integrity. In this research we analyze a viable use of available technologies to solve this evidenced issue. In medical reports for image exams, the use of a Picture Archive Communications System (PACS) allow the medical reports to be emitted remotely but it alone does not guarantee any of the security measurements for non-repudiation. The results presented in this work were obtained from an Integrative Literature Review and make evidence that the digital signatures model, based on asymmetric cryptography, help solve this issue when a solution implementation does not change the installed DICOM/PACS environment and makes it possible for an easy emitter check without the possibility of repudiation, within the local legislation.

  • Ethical, legal, and technical limitations compromise the studies of human anatomy. Vieria et al (2013) and Marrey Neto (2006) show that a high maintenance cost, the difficulty in obtaining bodies and the risk that conservation materials present to the health of those who come in contact with them in anatomical laboratories constitute obstacles to the study of anatomy through traditional methods. Still, a scenario analysis based on interviews with healthcare professionals, identified that synthetic anatomical models sometimes do not have the realism desired for certain applications. It is within this context that resides the research project centered on the development of solutions for training and diagnostics in the healthcare area from prototyping processes. In order to transform the idea into a business, the project was based on the Design Thinking methodology. In order to understand the relationship of individuals with the problem, interviews were conducted based on the Value Proposition Canvas, and the conversion of the problem into a business was done using the Business Model Canvas. With the purpose of validating the proposals elaborated, three products were developed for evaluation by clients and professionals of the area. From the feedback received, it could be concluded that the proposed products and services have market adherence and represent a potential innovation in the way of teaching, practicing, planning and conducting health procedures.

  • Software applications are becoming highly critical in developing a business or startup. They enable us to interact with people around the world, drive cars and withdraw money from a ready teller. In this way, having an interface that offers a good user experience, is a necessity for the survival of companies. In this scenario, the present work aimed at finding out whether the user experience is enough to affect software obsolescence, and if so, it also tries to show how this process happens, what strategies can be used to mitigate this problem and finally create a tool (FLUX) to support software development teams. For the development of the project, we carried out research with software users. In addition, we sought to conduct interviews with professionals in the area of Design and Technology to validate the concepts. It is believed that reducing the time to design solutions, increasing the user relationship, positioning it as a co-author, as well as the rapid adaptation and adoption of FLUX during software development may delay software obsolescence and Also reduce costs (service, redesign, and development).

The current work sought to develop a Canvas Business Model using the concepts of technological innovation and entrepreneurship learned in the MPI. Such concepts were applied to agricultural production systems in different regions of Rio Grande do Norte state, using the Moringa oleifera cropping promoting the reforestation of degraded areas, with turned to be useful for production of food derived from moringa leaves, in addition to vegetable oil and byproducts for the treatment of water, which were obtained from the their processed seeds, in order to diversify the sources of income, elaborating products of innovative potential with as much derivatives of the plant as possible. The proposed models can be replicated in other regions, taking into account the three pillars of sustainability: Economic viability, Social Responsibility and Environmental Compliance. Organic agriculture is an activity that concerns these parameters and, to do so, it depends on the production of agricultural fertilizers that comes from both animal and vegetable wastes. This practice, when certified by authorized institutions, values the product in relation to those coming from conventional agriculture. For accomplishing the desired objectives, there were performed a couple of “extension actions”, carried out with UFRN researchers, agricultural consulting and a "Managing Internship" in the rural property of the organic farm called Hortaviva, located in the Rural Area of Nísia Floresta-RN and certified by by the Biodynamic Institute – IBD audit. During the internship, the farm expanded its cultivated area so that the culture of the moringa could be introduced, intercropping with several short cycle plants, using different cropping methods. Dehydrated leaves were marketed in the form of leaf powder, tea and capsules. The oily seed, once processed, gave rise to a vegetable oil used in the production of biodiesel and a byproduct so called "moringa oilcake", from which a water purifying agent (biocide), branded as Biolarv – Natural Larvicide. A brand mark was registered at the Instituto Nacional de Propriedade Industrial -INPI by the Núcleo de Inovação Tecnológica (NIT / UFRN). This natural biocide was developed to exterminate larvae of the mosquito Aedes aegypti, transmitter diseases such as Dengue, Zika and Chikungunya virus.

  • Adoption of healthy eating habits is growing fast in the world. Consumer demand for products using natural and sustainable raw materials also grows, most notably in the developed countries of Europe and North America. The Moringa, a tree native to India and perfectly adapted to the Brazilian northeastern semi-arid region is a plant that is proving to be one of the best sources of nutrients and vegetable oil of high quality. Two facts about the oil moringa were verified in the study to make this work: 1. There are no relevant studies on the economic-financial viability of moringa culture in Brazil; 2. The plant is not economically exploited in the country on the scale it could be. Using techniques discussed in the Master's Degree in Innovation at UFRN, such as Design Thinking and Economic Evaluation of Projects, this work focuses on the economic-financial viability of the moringa plantation in the northeastern semi-arid region and on the production and export of leaf and oil powder of moringa seed. As the idea of the project goes beyond the simple analysis mentioned, it also contemplates, if viable, the implementation of a startup for economic exploitation of the moringa. This work is presented in the structure of a business plan.

  • Pediculosis is characterized by lice infestation (Pediculus humanus capitis) in man. Since 1963 the pediculosis has been growing significantly, mainly in the school environment and urban centers, from the agglomeration and have seen in ease with which it is transmitted. Current treatments have side effects, posing a risk to the host's health, as well as promoting resistance to products, thus raising costs with treatments. The authors set out to develop an alternative, non-toxic, biocompatible and biodegradable treatment that would de-emphasize the genetic mutation presented by lice to the current treatments, in addition to managing innovation. To manage the project, the following methods were adopted: a) for the purification of the biopolymer, for this we separated 20g of commercial Polymar® chitosan, which was then dispersed in 2% aqueous SYNTH® acetic acid solution for 24 hours. We precipitated the entire polymer with the aid of SYNTH® NaOH and the precipitate was washed with double distilled water. b) Three samples of the hydrogel were prepared. Sample A was prepared from Sigma-Aldrich® chitosan, dispersed in SYNTH® aqueous acetic acid solution; Sample B and C were produced with Polymar® commercial chitosan, previously purified, the dispersions were shaken for 24 hours at room temperature (25 ± 2 ° C), after the preparation of the hydrogel was added to the essence; SYNTH® glycerin and alquiparabene; C) physical-chemical characterization of the samples through the organoleptic, pH and rheological analyzes of the hydrogel; d) to validate methodologically the product was carried out the in vitro test, which involved, sample selection and collection of material, standardization of wicks, examination and classification of pediculosis and finally application of the product; e) in cost management, the costs of water, energy, raw material and manpower required to produce the hydrogel were calculated with the intention of generating data for the next stages; f) valuation of technology, from the data generated by cost management. Patent application no. BR 1020150251793 was made to guarantee the intellectual property right of the product, the biopolymer hydrogel for the treatment of pediculosis, with low side effects and good theoretical tolerability, able to eliminate and control the pediculosis of Safe, eliminating the main reinfestation agent; The physical-chemical analysis showed that the product is within the required commercial standards, also showing good performance in the removal of the parasite. A new alternative product was developed for the treatment of pediculosis, with a low cost of production and good performance during the first in vitro tests, but it is necessary to carry out in vivo studies for Anvisa registration and possible commercialization.

  • Resumen Espectáculo
  • From the beginning of the modern administration, beginning of the twentieth century, companies of the most diverse segments adopted rational techniques aimed at the control and the quality in their productive processes. These techniques focus on waste reduction through the elimination of errors (Gomes, 2005). With the technological advance of the last years, companies have faced increasingly fierce competition, demanding faster changes and a more flexible work processes (Silva, 2008). In the face of this new reality, the management of innovation became the business tonic and companies that demonstrate greater flexibility in their processes started to gain larger market shares (Pereira, 2005). However, it is observed that the quality addressed at the beginning of research and innovation can be interpreted as contradictory, since quality aims to eliminate error and innovation, accept error as a learning and improvement tool. Faced with this paradox between quality management and innovation management, there is a dilemma: How to combine these factors, quality management and innovation management? Throughout this work will be presented situations in which innovation and quality can be confronted especially in software development projects. The research aims to design a management framework that allows innovation and quality to be exchanged. As a way to validate the proposed framework, the work approaches software projects in which the author was directly responsible for its design, and thus the research is characterized as exploratory and descriptive according to Flick (2004), in which the construction of the reality based on interviews and / or the observation of field and people. The technique used was observation with a structured script. The technology developed was validated from its application in different projects, which shows the feasibility of its implementation.
