Presentation

Headquartered in the Department of Theoretical and Experimental Physics (DFTE), the Program of Graduate Studies in Physics (PPGF) offers Masters and PhD courses, as well as post-doctoral training, in the areas of Condensed Matter (Theoretical and Experimental) Statistical Physics and Complex Systems, Field Theory, Astronomy and Cosmology, encompassing a large number of research lines. With over 30 years of tradition, the PPGF maintains an international profile, assessed as a center of excellence and awarded a score of 6 by CAPES (Brazilian Agency). This achievement is the result of the high academic qualification and experience of its teaching staff, currently composed of 20 professor advisors. The PPGF has trained more than 200 Masters and 100 Doctors, and presently has around 100 students enrolled, from the various regions of the country as well as abroad.

The Graduate Program in Physics and the Department of Theoretical and Experimental Physics work in order to raise to the maximum the evel of success of their students, Post-Doctors and of the research conducted here. In fact, it is remarkable that the task of making the PPGF and DFTE an exciting and productive workplace, is facilitated by the intriguing natural beauty, cultural richness and diversity of the city of Natal. So if you are a potential candidate, we hope that you will be part of our team.
