Presentation

The Bachelor's Degree in Pedagogy at CERES was created in 1973, but academic activities began in 1974. Currently, it has fourteen tenured professors, thirteen of whom hold doctoral degrees and one is a doctoral candidate. It has one of the highest enrollment rates among CERES courses and obtained the highest score in the last ENADE (National Student Performance Exam), which qualifies it as a course of excellence in teacher training.

The course has two laboratories and five research groups that discuss and research different themes. The course professors carry out teaching, research, and extension projects, offering scholarships for scientific initiation, teaching initiation, monitoring, and participation in extension activities.

Graduates of the Pedagogy course are professionals with broad and solid training, possessing competencies related to management, organization of pedagogical work, planning, evaluation, and the specific teaching skills that teachers in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education develop with their students. Thus, they are qualified to work in both school and non-school settings and are indispensable professionals for educational management processes in companies and institutions across various fields.
