Course Description

The Spanish Languages and Literatures Program at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) is dedicated to the education and capacitation of teachers for the Brazilian educational system, based on principles grounded in the unity between theory and practice, in the collective and interdisciplinary work, in a social commitment, valuing the professional of education, according to the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCNs) established by the CNE/CP Resolution no. 2/2015, published on July 2nd of 2015, in the Official Union Gazette.            

With a broad educational proposal and committed to official documents, the Spanish Languages and Literatures Program (UFRN) is dedicated to the professional education of teachers, valuing the training of a reflective and investigative professional of their own practice and of their teaching object, emphasizing, furthermore, the development of inherent competencies to Spanish language users, which include, among others, sociocultural, pragmatic-discursive, sociohistorical, structural and linguistic aspects, always in unity with literary studies, with the development of teaching competence and the study of pedagogical and methodological aspects related to the teaching-learning process of the Spanish language.
