The Physical Therapy program of the Health Sciences College of Trairi (FACISA) aims to educate health professionals with a generalist, humanistic, critical, and reflective approach, capable of understanding the concepts and determinants of the health-disease-care triad, contextualizing human movement in all states of health throughout life, as a foundation for the construction of knowledge and activities of scientific research and community action. It encompasses the training of physical therapists capable of understanding the Unified Health System (SUS) as an organizational model of the Brazilian State for public health policy in the areas of surveillance, planning, management, and health care in an integrated and inseparable way, acting as individuals with a broad vision of clinical practice and health, working from the perspective of promoting health and preventing disease and injury, providing health and rehabilitation care, whether in their specific area of knowledge or in related areas of practice, emphasizing the exercise of leadership and communication. Its mandatory practice scenarios include respect for ethical and bioethical principles, comprehensive healthcare, intersectorality, multiprofessionalism, transdisciplinarity, continuing education, and human functionality.
